======Modnation Racers PS3 Community Data Tutorial====== Pre-Req: Currently to manage this data at all requires a cfw (modded, be it softmod or hardmod) Playstation 3 System. Any will do. There is no current way to transfer data on OFW systems, unless they are partially modded via HAN-enabler. TLDR: You need a modded ps3 or HAN-enabler. This tutorial assumes you have that and can install pkg's. ================================================================== Some info: -You can transfer this data via USB using multiman's file explorer, but that will take far longer than FTP. For FTP, filezilla is reccomended. Both will be linked here. ================================================================== Tools/Programs needed: ------------------------------------------------------------------ (optional) -Multiman site DL: https://store.brewology.com/ahomebrew.php?brewid=24 (Select multiMAN base) Mirror Download: https://mega.nz/#!HDQnHCDJ!wfWAbWKy-cFAcAPeCjhyrPE5npJJAVFXHOa5MyXbe9Y ------------------------------------------------------------------ (REQUIRED) -Filezilla site DL: https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?show_all=1 (select the zip download, the setup contains unwanted bloatware) Mirror Download: https://mega.nz/#!bXREwL5T!IVBThMDoXG9m5eZjjti_fKPTjQfpGUlgwGD3AXx2QDI ================================================================== INSTRUCTIONS FOR FTP TRANSFER -boot up filezilla, lookup how to ftp into your ps3 if you don't know how to do it. Once inside your ps3's HDD, navigate to "dev_hdd0". -Now, navigate to "game" (note that it should be all undercase NOT caps. It's in this folder that modnation creation data is stored (with "_UCC" at the end of whatever the regioncode of your version is, which your folder is named, for example: "BCUS98167_UCC" is the name of the US (physical) version of the game.) -Inside this folder you should see "USERDIR", open it, there will be a number here- it is whatever number the user is, open that, "DATA" open that folder. Now upload the "DOWNLOAD" folder provided in whatever archived mods you downloaded from the site. ***If the folder mods come in is labeled "DOWNLOADS" correct it to "DOWNLOAD" or it won't work. This is a typo. Congrats, you're almost done. ------------------------------------------------------------------ !Some important info though: !DO NOT have more than 600 at max of any one specific type of content! (600 of each isn't a smart idea either) the game will begin to have long load times and the more you add, eventually it will fail to load at all! Simply pick out content from all the provided packs that interest you to mix and match your own CHARACTER, TRACKS & VEHICLES folders, and upload those. Now, you're done. Enjoy!
